She plays 'Penny' in the Big Bang Theory for those who don't know.

I know this is pretty unfair, but in the interviews I've seen of her, she comes across as being kind of a typical bitchy, preppy California valley girl type...of course I don't believe how a person comes across in a TV interview is the be all and end all of the totality of their being, but I just got that vibe from her...while I think her character, Penny in the BBT puts up with a ton, I think at times it's clear she really looks down on the 'nerds' and it just seems in real life she's not too different from her character.

Forgive me for starting a thread as meaningless as this, I mean she might be a wonderful person IRL, I guess it shows how characters can strongly influence how you view the actress behind the character.

I've not seen any interviews of her so I don't know what you're seeing, but I do like her acting ability so I like her. I don't really think her character is bitchy...oh sure, she can be but that's not the totality of her role. In fact, I think she's quirky and smart...which is key to her being funny on the show.

I've said this a couple of times to my husband, but I wish I could be more like her. Penny calls it like she sees it and is never really embarassed that she might not know something. She doesn't make apologies for being just exactly who she is: the good, the bad and the ugly as it were. I hope she's somewhat like that in real life, but who knows? I do know we can't know her from random interviews...although I may watch a few to see if I get the same feeling, too.

I think it's just her voice.

When she played in Charmed, I didn't care for her. The same when she played in that show with John Ritter (I can't think of the name of it).
