[quote=Delahanty;30898321]LOL so the grizzled likes of Harrison Ford will be replacing Bruce Willis in whatever the heck that movie is (another action flick). This over-the-hill gang must really think they're all that. They're not.quote]

Hey, I'll still watch an Antonio Banderas movie just to see him. He's still hot to me.

I think male actors in general have changed. I love Tommy Lee Jones....loooooovvvee him.

But let's pretend US Marshalls was being cast today. Who would play his part? I think these current male actors are just something to look at. Which means we won't see them age. No more Grumpy Old Men or The Bucket List.

It used to be Hollywood at least made an attempt to get leading male actors for action flicks that looked like blue collar types.

It went downhill beginning with the younger Matt Damon, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Jude Law and only got worse with Jake Gyllenhall, Ashton Kutcher and Tobey McGuire --- not that there is anything wrong with them as actors. They just aren't the danger, danger, rescue me, sweep me off my feet type in my opinion. They fit better as suit guys in an office scenario, teachers, leading men or as character actors.

Mark Wahlberg works. He's at least believable taking or giving a punch.
I think Statham looks pretty blue collar. I agree with you about the rest.

Right. Statham is rough and tough all the way.

Glad someone finally brought up Clint Eastwood! (and James Garner). Cannot believe anyone would not go to see a favorite actor (or actress!) simply because they are older! We movie-goers are getting older too! Will pay to see my faves as long as they are able (or offered parts) to be in the movies.
