Not me. I can't forgive her not only for her actions in Vietnam, but also for calling returning American POWs "LIARS" when they reported the torture they endured at the hands of her friends the Communist north Vietnamese troops.
exactly.... Im not into forgiveness either for what this woman caused..
I always disliked her not because she came out against the Vietnam War but because she came out against the soldiers and POW's. Also because much later in life she admitted she had the help of surgery not only for her face but her body while she was hawking her exercise tapes. And she did not eat a healthy diet in order to maintain her already skinny shape.
I don't hate her or wish her ill but I hope at her age which is the same as mine she has been able to reflect on some of the things she has done. Like most of us, she didn't make some of the best choices but hers were made in the public eye and influenced a lot of people at the time she made them.
I remember my relatives showing me that pictures of her in the helmet etc. when I was a kid.
Has she repented about doing that? Has she asked for forgiveness? Being forgiven is given to someone who asks for it from those they've offended, correct?
Back on the original topic, yeah, plastic surgery helps... she must have had a good doctor cause she still looks like herself, but youthful. Some get surgery and look really weird.
maybe young searcher and dont know about Fondas past..
I got that feeling too dizzy. I had made enough noise about Hanoi Jane while my kids grew up but as adults they had no idea about who Mary Jo Kopechne was. I guess I just preached about what effected me directly. I mention Mary Jo because what happened to her was another national disgrace.
