Yep. That just happened to me, a co worker was talking about him and I had to say I had no clue about who he was.

So, do you have those times when you don't know who is this person that everyone is gabbing about? Or do you know people like me who are that far out of touch?

............................I mean, years ago, I had to ask my Mother about, I was seriously wondering why all the attention on the Hilton hotel in Paris.

Well, there are lots of people in the entertainment world I know nothing about. I'm 59, and when around my teenage relatives I am frequently lost (especially when they talk about music).

I was entertained when some 'known' person (I forget who) said "It took me several years to realize that 'J Lo' and 'Jennifer Lopez' were the same person".

Reminds me of how irritated my father was when I didn't know who "Jack Kennedy" was.....since it wasn't part of my "education" to know that Jack was a nickname for John or Dick was a nickname for Richard.

And, now that you mention it, I would have confused "J Lo" for "Jay Leno".
