So sad. I have enjoyed watching Mr. Sheppard through the years. May he rest in peace.

A manly, sexy actor. Only 73. ALS? Never heard he had this devastating disease.

The Right Stuff was awesome, if you haven't seen it.

Sad news. Really liked his film roles. His role in Cold in July was an especially great recent one. RIP Sam.

Chuck Yeager still lives, he outlived the actor that played him by 21 years, and counting! I've seen The Right Stuff over a dozen times, what a great movie and Shepard did an excellent job with Yeager. Chuck Yeager is 94 years old now, and still chewing the Wrigley's gum with his gums, I imagine.

RIP Sam Shepard
