Benjamin Keough, the son of actress Lisa Marie Presley and the look-alike grandson of Elvis Presley, has died at 27.

Lisa Marie Presley's manager Roger Widynowski confirmed the death in a statement to USA TODAY: "She is completely heartbroken, inconsolable and beyond devastated but trying to stay strong for her 11-year-old twins and her oldest daughter Riley. She adored that boy. He was the love of her life."

Just saw the article below. He committed suicide. This will very nearly if not completely destroy his mother. If you can't live for yourself, live for others.

UK Daily Mail: Lisa Marie Presley's son and Elvis Presley's look-alike grandson, Benjamin Keough, 27, dies 'from self-inflicted gunshot wound

Elvis never lived in the real world, and Priscilla very much lived in a bubble. Lisa also didn't live in a normal world, it would appear.

Unfortunately, dysfunctional people breed children that also inherit their parents' dysfunction and environment.

I lived in Memphis during the Elvis years, and had business dealings with Vernon's wife, Dee. My buddy also worked for Vernon maintaining his airplane(s). We ate lunch many days in college with Linda Thompson, Elvis' long time girlfriend--a nice girl.

This young man's suicide at only 27 years old proves once again money, fame, physical beauty, and being born into 'privilege' don't preclude the physical illness of depression. mental illness affects all classes, ages, and sexes. as a person who was personally affected by a close friend's suicide three decades ago, I know the sadness due to the loss of that person endures for a lifetime.

i wish admitting to depression and asking for help were more socially acceptable, especially for men. there is medical help for sufferers of mental illness. there is help and hope....

Sounds like a case of affluenza. If he had gone out into the world and got his hands dirty, lived his life and not stayed hidden in his mother's mansion he might have found more than enough reason to live.

The whole family has long been in over their heads when it comes to fame and fortune. Exhibit A = Elvis.

No guarantee of that at all.

I have encountered many people in my life who either tried or was successful at killing themselves, and they were far, very far, from an affluent lifestyle.
