Droid phone went dead and now wont charge (battery, ATT, work)

Help...my droid phone went dead so I put it on the charger and it won't work. I can't take the battery out to try that. My SO said his phone worked on the charger....help

How old is your phone?

Does the phone attempt to turn on and then turn off again? My note 2 does this with crappy chargers, if it's 100% dead and I plug it into a weak charger, it'll attempt to boot up but by the time it's almost done, the amount of charge it used was more than the charger was providing.
