We went and picked strawberries at Boone Hall this weekend. I asked the woman when the strawberry festival was going to be this year. She said that they were not going to have it because of the construction on 17. Just thought I would let everyone know. We went to it last year and had a lot of fun.

That's terrible. Wow, what an impact the construction must play on their business

Boone Hall has still put on most of its major events. I would suspect the canceling of this one is due to the fact it was not a huge money maker. The construction around Boone Hall is not as bad as it has been.

They had the mud race the previous week. Construction did not deter this event.

I wonder if the harvest wasn't big enough to support the festival - I know it was really early this year because of the warm winter.
