We are planning a trip from Midwest to Knoxville TN to see some family.
Hubby & I want to go to the nearest beaches that have the best seashells either in NC or SC.
Need advice what beaches have the best seashells.

A friends, friend mentioned Hilton Head Island... something about the south end (???) anyone have any advice on Hilton Head Island about seashells, please advise.

Any other areas for seashells ?

This will be a quick trip 2-3 days. Have to drive back to Knoxville to pick up family members & head back to Midwest.

Thanks everyone

I'd have to say Kiawah is my top choice, followed by Edisto and then Myrtle Beaches.

I would strongly suggest Bull Island just north of Charleston... youll need to take the ferry over , boat being the only way to get there ...but the island is large and uninhabited and therefore the beaches aren't picked over shell wise ..lots of wildlife as well ... great beach too. Touristy beaches ... ie HHI in particular...get picked over a lot ... so unless you come down right after a storm ... you probably wont find much.
