I know theirs has caraway seeds, but see if Panera Bread can bake you some without the seeds....kind of like a special order.

Check the bakery at Bi-Lo. I don't remember if the rye bread has seeds or not. I buy bread from their bakery all the time and it is really good.

Whole Foods (Mt Pleasant) or Normandy Bakery in the South Windemere shopping plaza in West Ashley will definitely get you the "crusty" part of your desire ... not sure about the seeds.

I find crusty bread just isn't in grocery store bakeries here.

Ask them to bake a "special order" for you. They seem to be very accomodating.

Publix has excellent crusty rye bread with no seeds.

Harris Teeter has just started carrying a Russian rye - very dark - with no seeds.
