Hey guys I’ll keep this short and sweet. I’m an Anesthesiologist and am looking to move to Charleston to work and possibly do a fellowship at MUSC. As a single guy, decent shape (6ft 200 lbs), would this be a good city with a favorable female to male ratio? I finally have time to have somewhat of a life and am wanting to meet awesome women.

Yep. One stroll around downtown or on the beach and you'll be hooked on Charleston. Buy a good sized boat and hang out on Shem Creek, plenty of single ladies down there.

I'd say, if money was no object, I'd live in Old Village Mt Pleasant, or Daniel Island, or Downtown in one of the boroughs.

There's women in every city I would imagine. Download tinder and set your location to different cities of interest if that's still possible.

You are probably fairly well off with that profession. Live alone downtown or in MP and impress the girlies. I'd say moving for snatch is a less than stellar reason.

The problem with women in that age bracket is the race to marriage. While this is purely anecdotal, every gal I know around that age is either engaged, just married, or waiting on their boyfriends to propose. If there is a singles scene, it's likely tied to the colleges and fleeting at best. If that's what you are looking for, good luck and godspeed.

Our daughter must have went to CofC for the old fashion reason, to find a husband.

Rare she would as CofC is 75% female.

I can only agree with the above posts that Charleston seems to have an abundance of beautiful women. Of all ages really, but it's true that the college is weighted heavily female. That college age population is found mostly downtown. Outside of that it's a balanced mix and I think you would find plenty of prospects wherever you are.
