Hi everyone. I am new to this forum and looking forward to your help. I have used the forum in the past to answer many questions about the Summerville area. I must say that you are all very helpful and I'm sure every user appreciates it! With that said, I will be coming down within the next two months to get a feel for the area. My family and I have an opportunity to relocate. I have always loved SC, and the Summerville area looks to be exactly what we are looking for. I have two young boys and we are looking to start a new life in SC. We currently live in NJ and can not wait to get out of here. After many hours of research on the web, it is almost impossible to pinpoint a trusted realtor that really knows the area and our needs. I figure that many of you can recommend someone with the "right stuff". I can provide more info if needed, but I figured on keeping the thread simple. Thank you for your time.
I am not a Realtor, there are plenty on here, Beachme & USCJoe are just two.
What area are you looking at, what price range, what age are your boys, what are their interestes, what are your and your wife's interestes? These are all questions any realtor will need answers to in order to help you find what you are looking for.
I know that a realtor will need all that info you spoke about OTC, but I figured we would find one first and then proceed. As far as what area--I do not know for sure, but it will have to be in the D II school system due to the good things I hear about them. My boys are still very young (both under 3), so they will not be headed into school for a while. We obviously want to be established in an area that is right for us when the time comes for them to go. I like the communities that are in the area, but when we get down there we will check them all out.
I have lived in FR for over 8 years now. It is a great area for boating and fishing, but NJ is getting worse by the day. I know Port Republic well. Used to keep buddies boat at Chestnut Neck Marina.
Charleston area has all of the great things that FR offers with out the brutal winters, but we have brutal summers.....
