We have just moved to the area, and my son wants to take golf lessons and I have no idea where to start.
Thanks for any info.

Start with your local public golf course, most of them have a golf pro, usually retired PGA, who gives lessons.

Find out who the really good high school players are in the area and either ask them directly who they get lessons from, or just ask around at the courses they play (you'd be suprised at how many people would know who the top area golfers get their lessons from).

what part of Charleston do you live in? If you are in Mt. P, then Charleston National/Patriots Point have nice training facilities. I think that Simmons Cuthbert is still out at Daniel's Island too. I used to take lessons from him back in High School(he was at Kiawah then though). I really liked his instruction.

Remember you definetly get what you pay for...!!!

Check with Crowfield Plantations golf course since it's the closest to you.

Crowfield Golf and Country Club (http://www.crowfieldgolf.com/golf/proto/crowfieldgolf/ - broken link)
