I recently moved to Charlotte and I'm looking for some good paved trails to rollerblade on (yes, I realize I am a total weirdo for still owning inline skates). I have tried out 2 greenways so far, but I was frankly unimpressed as they were short, and difficult to follow.

Does anyone know of a paved, easy to follow (doesn't go through a residential area) trail that is at least 5 miles long and would be suitable for rollerblading?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Fruit booter!!! Just kidding.

Greenways are probably your best bet. Here is a link to their page.

Mallard Creek Greenway in the University area is well longer than 5 miles and mostly paved, but there is a gravel stretch in the middle. The Four-Mile Creek Greenway in South Charlotte is 5.8 miles I believe from Piper Glen to the parking lot at 51 and Johnston and paved the whole way.

Four mile creek is a great option. A very nice greenway which is pavement and boardwalk. The boardwalk shouldn't be too much of an issue for your skates, the boards are really close together.

I don't know about Huntington Business Park, nor where you are located.
However, if you're anywhere near Huntersville, "The Park" medical and office park (near Presbyterian Hospital Huntersville) is well suited for walking, biking and rollerblading. The Park : Huntersville : The Park at Huntersville, NC the Southeast's premier corporate communities, offering space for lease, land for sale and build-to-suit opportunities. The main road is just a large loop with a marked bike lane on each side. VERY popular for walking and biking... why not rollerblading?
