No more Arnold Palmer Cadillac? (Charlotte, Pineville: transfer, car, transit)

I saw they removed all the Arnold Palmer signs from the Cadillac dealer ship in Charlotte/Pineville. Any reason? Hopefully all is well with the champion golfer!

Its not Arnold Palmer Cadillac, hasn't been for a while....it is Cadillac of South Charlotte.

Did they just keep the sign up then? All the Arnold Palmer signs were up as of 2 weeks ago.

It's been closed for a while. Many months at least.

I guessed that's what happened. I worked there in 97-98 then was transferred to Arnold Palmer Olds on South Boulevard next to Steak and Shake.

Probably wouldn't remember too much now if I paid a visit to Charlotte.

Looks Bruton Smith owns it through Sonic Automotive. May have been for quite some time according to some links I followed.

Sometimes I play around with the idea of creating a website that shows who really owns a particular car dealer. People might be surprised.

"Arnold Palmer Cadillac, Pineville, NC is proud to be part of the Sonic Automotive family of dealerships."

They filed for a name change in October but it looks like it's been owned by Sonic for years.
