Although, because the trees still have leaves this one is causing damage..thats not good. But truly a freak storm ...a once in 200 year event for October.....
Yes! I enjoy snow in the winter, but the best part about snow here is that it melts quickly. I think Charlotte is one of the most perfect places in the country, weather-wise.
LOL!!! I was thinking of starting a similar thread!! We still have our old NJ phone number on our cell phone and we received a reverse 911 call today urging us to stay in our homes due to dangerous snow conditions.

I agree. And, that is the main thing that keeps me here.
This will be my first winter in NC so I gave one of my old neighbors a call in NJ. They said they have over a foot of snow and no power since last night. That is one thing I will never miss about NJ after moving here.

My dad and bro back home in PA had about 8+ inches of snow. Glad I'm here in Charlotte. I'm not the biggest fan of snow oh and I like the warmer weather.

We moved here in April and I did find it hotter here. But there were plenty of days in NJ when I walked from my house to my car to go to work and I was soaking wet from the humidity. So I'll just suck it up and enjoy the fact I don't have to shovel a 18" of snow anymore.

If the snow bothers you then you should not be there. I don't get why snow is such a big deal. The last couple years were not the norm. I'd rather shovel a few times a year than sweat for 5 straight months. Don't forget it can get cold here too just as it gets hot in Jersey...each his own
