Indeed.

If they can now tap the pocketbooks of the folks in the surrounding counties, I suspect they won't settle for anything less than the best stadium in the USA. It's liable to have a space port on it when they are done.

People are taxed everyday for countless amounts of things, yet you're making a big deal to improve a stadium that could easily be built somewhere else and take away some of the cities reputation?

Tillis, who represents Cornelius, told me this week that he and other lawmakers have already been briefed on the NFL franchise’s need for a stadium makeover. And there may be a possibility for the state to assist with the planned renovations at the 16-year-old uptown stadium. Clearly, the economic impact of the Carolina Panthers is very well-documented,” Tillis said. “To get to a point where you could attract a Super Bowl and ensure (the future of the franchise here), we’re open to discussing that.”

^^^It's a done deal folks. So the question now is will we see that retractable roof I've been hoping for?

McCrory doesnt waste no time screwing over the citizens of this state in the name of Charlotte the home of one of worst NFL teams. Already knew Tillis was a big con man. This state is going down in the hole.

^^^As funny (and true) as the above cartoon is, Charlotte is only getting back the millions of dollars in road money that we've donated to eastern NC.

It does not sit right with me that I would have to pay for a stadium upgrade while John Doe that lives in Union County gets off with out paying a dime. All this while John Doe manages to drive in for every Panther home game of the year.

Feel free to move to Union County then.
