I've got a little time on my hands and am wondering what people are paying to have their grass cut. Just cutting, edging, blowing. Let's leave seeding and bushes out for this one.

If you handle your own, don't answer. This is about trying to help people determine what they can or should or could pay for lawn services. This is NOT about "my guy is better" or someone getting ripped off.

If you do pay for services, please tell how much and what size lot.

$30 for 1/3 acre, not counting the third of the backyard which is wooded. But I will be looking for someone new in 2013, so that may change.

I pay a monthly contract for $134/month. This includes a set amount of visits every year (mowing, trim, fall cleanup, blowing etc...). This also includes all fertilizer, fungicide, weed treatment and removal. Basically I have to do nothing on my lawn. I have about 1/3 acre. I used to do it myself and grew very frustrated that the weeds were taking over my yard, and I refused to pay Scotts one more dime of my hard earned money for them to do absolutely nothing.

The guy I have now is a true expert. The weeds magically disappeared and my lawn is gorgeous for the most part.

$35 cash per week. Mow,edge, blow. They blow the deck off etc. as well. If I need bushes cut and cleaned up it's $15 extra.

Lot size is right under 1/2 acre

$175 monthly for .25 acre. But we do nothing, he does everything and our yard is probably the best in the neighborhood. He even makes those pretty lines when he mows. He trims our bushes a couple times a year, and he sets and if it needs to, fixes our sprinkler system.

$30 per mow during growing season, not annual contract. I have 1/3 acre. I can notify my guy to skip mowings during heat of summer.

Roughly $45-$50 a house on my rentals just for mowing, and a little leaf blowing and debris removal. 1/4 acre lots.

I could hunt for cheaper I suppose, but he's flexible and largely takes care of stuff without me needing to supervise, which is what I want. He also trims the shrubs, reseeds, bags the leaves, if I ask for extra landscaping to be done.
