Best decision I've ever made. I'm so glad I moved from Ohio. Better economy, much better weather, and people who are actually nice to each other. I will not ever move back north.
Hands down, the best decision I have ever made. I felt such a relief when I relocated to an area I felt 'at home.' The north always kept me on edge. I will NEVER move back to the northeast. The weather, cost of living, and quality of living is night and day. I couldnt be happier!
Moved from Long Island 6 months ago, and I wished I had done it much earlier. Best decision my family and I have made. Love the area, the people, and the quality of life here!!!
LOVE IT! I moved to Charlotte in 1994 right out of graduate school from Pittsburgh. I was looking to move for better weather (I hate snow), better quality of life, better jobs, closer to beach. Someone told me back in 1994 that Charlotte was going to be the next big thing so I took a chance and moved here. I have been fortunate to witness all of the explosive growth that has occurred here (when I moved here they were just building the Panther stadium). I LOVE CHARLOTTE! Best decision I ever made! Whenever I want to visit "home" it is only 7 hour drive or a 1.5 hour flight -- no big deal but I am alway anxious to come back to Charlotte!
I love it here even though I liked Philadelphia, Pennsylvania too but everything is new here and its growng so fast. With so many people here from the northeast, it allmost feels like the ne again!
Moved to Union County in the Spring. Best move my family could've ever made. NY is great for somethings, but Charlotte area is a better place to raise children.
OK, there's a related question I just HAVE to ask. A lot of posters state that they wish they had moved sooner. My question is, why didn't you? If everything's as bad as it's made out to be, why weren't you leaving 5-10-15 years ago? What was making you stay? What event or events changed things?
