And incidentally, I know you're being sarcastic on the streetcar route between DC and Charlotte, but I do hope within this decade we will see some progress done on the high speed rail between the two cities (the Southeast Corridor).
Consider the Mayor's ego boosted to a whole new level now. And the idea of him being nominated just made him 100% he's the smartest person in the room when it comes to street cars. Ugh.
Charlotte has one mayor as governor and we could have another mayor in DC. How is any of this a bad thing for Charlotte? No matter how folks feel about Foxx and McCrory, we really need to use their ambitions to Charlotte's advantage. If Foxx gets the job, lack of infrastructure should never limit Charlotte's future growth potential (like it's doing now).
I thought maybe he was appointing Jamie Foxx. And it wouldn't have surprised me a bit.
