Is the Wilmore neighborhood starting to get hot like Sedgefield etc?

Can anyone suggest some neighborhoods in that area that are getting active like Sedgefield? I am interested in picking up a property near dowtown and need some suggestions.

It got wayyyy ahead of itself in 2007. Inexperienced flippers were trying to double their money there with poorly thought out renovations, and some of them went bust waiting for the greater fools to come along and buy.

Prices were quite reasonable during the subsequent bottoming of the market and you could get homes there under $200K.

I'd advise looking only east of Mint street though. West of Mint is close to 77 and the noise from the highway will always suppress the area.

Agree with Sean_CLT. I wouldn't be opposed to living in Wilmore but won't venture west of Mint.
