I am visiting Charlotte and need a restaurant
within 20 minutes of the airport with healthy options.
Burgers and fries are great for Memorial Day
but not for everyone in our group.

We'd like to keep it to $20 or less per person.
Thanks for any ideas.

Flying Biscuit in the Park Road Shopping Center. About 15 minutes from the Airport.

May I recommend the very yummy Savor Restaurant - about 12 minutes away (simple directions) - Savor Cafe and Catering - West Charlotte - Charlotte | Urbanspoon is the urban spoon review - 96% favorability restaurant. You don't say if you're having lunch or dinner - it's definately under $20 for lunch and perhaps might be over for dinner.

Or you could go to Pinkies. Pinky's Westside Grill - West Charlotte - Charlotte | Urbanspoon - 91% favorability.

I've eaten at Flying Biscuit - but I like these two better.

Bouncing off this post, are there a lot of health food stores, farmers markets, and restaurants with vegan/vegetarian options in the Charlotte area? I am vegetarian and am envisioning a lot of pulled pork tempting me

Well technically Zada Jane's is within 20 mins of the airport, 19 if there's no traffic according to Google Maps. It's a healthy organic restaurant with vegan options.

I'm most familiar with neighborhoods around the center city - but I find that most restaurants in these neighborhoods have good vegetarian options. I often chose the vegetarian option at places just because I think it sounds the best. Of course, I'm sure there are cities with a more friendly "vegan/vegetarian culture". And if you go to the bbq place, then you might not find an option.

but I found NC bbq delicious.

There is a big regional famers market by the airport and lots of smaller more "neighborhood" famers markets.
