My husband and I recently moved to the Steele Creek area and are looking for a new church home. We are in our late 20s and want to find a Baptist (non-denominational can work as well) church that we can feel a part of and also has people within our age range. While I am ok with an extremely large church, I would much prefer a smaller church where there is an opportunity to know the pastor and people. It would also be great if the church is diverse. Finally, while we do like an upbeat service, if given the choice between a Pentecostal and traditional church, we would definitely choose traditional. Thanks for your help!
As someone that is just a little older than you I would recommend Indian Trail Baptist. You mentioned that you would like a Baptist Church but would also consider non-denominational... we felt the same way, moved away from our Baptist roots, and ultimately have regretted it. Most of the non-denominational churches are based on Baptist principles, have a service very similar to traditional Baptist services (although their music is louder), but their governance principles are very different and many times it becomes the "church of <xxx>", where xxx is the pastors name.
