Just looking for some advice. Was speaking to some of the guys from the Philadelphia about the muslim community in philly. There seems to be a good community there where muslims can live a normal life.
Whats charlotte like as a place for muslims to live? I take its just like any other place where you will get a minority of people who might care but the general population dont mind what you are?
Also welcome back to the hornets, great to have you guys back, bring back the buzz :-) are there any muslim fans who go to the games? I know the nba teams have heritage nights like polish, jewish, irish, chinese etc
I have not seen anyone at the box office with a pen and pencil asking about religions. I don't know if that is a statistic that is published locally. I am sure that some Muslims like the Hornets just as I believe that there are some Jewish hockey fans. Everyone likes sports (maybe not soccer so much).
Haha thats a very good answer and good point. I know the nba does heritage nights which are quite good but theres never been a muslim heritage night. I think we are still living in a time where people cant tell the difference between a terrorist and a normal muslim.

I think it's because there isn't a large Muslim community in NC, plus NBA heritage nights celebrate ethnicity, not religious belief.

ive spoke to a few people who said North Carolina is very friendly towards muslims and other religions as long as they are shown respect. I think that is the way it is in most cities, but they said the NC is very friendly as people are very religious themselves and show respect towards others.
Good point about the NBA, but they do have a lot of jewish heritage nights which are religious.
Maybe to try stirring up animosity (which apparently hasn't worked)?
stirring animosity? really? I don't know where your getting that from, I apologise if that's how it looks. My purpose is that I have been to America a few times , LA, Vegas, New York, Phoenix and never had any issues. But you then see in the media and online that America can be quite hostile to muslims after 9/11.
Ive spoken to people who are from charlotte and philly and they both say this is not the case. Only a simple question mate.
What's your purpose with these threads? There is this thread & the one on the Philadelphia board.
see my answer below, I stated also on my very first post that I had put a similar thread up on the philly forum. As said below apologies if ive offended anyone.
