Considering price , small new home $180,000 ish. (can be 1,500 sq ft)
3 bed/2bath/2 car garage

What's best suburb to live in. This will be last move before retirement . Must be able to get to CLT airport in 30 min drive

I'm looking for charm, friendliness and safety (low crime)

Any suggestions ?

Thank you

Look into Berwick off exit 4 of 485. New homes many different styles. Close to CLT (10 Min). New outlet mall with Teeter on the way.

Know it well, daughter lives in the community.

I'm on Cramer Mountain in Cramerton and it's 18min door to airport (I fly quite a bit). Great location, and easy access to downtown Charlotte (25 min). Belmont is next to us, as well as Mt. Holly.

Fort Mill, Tega Cay.

Wouldn't a neighborhood off Exit 4 on 485 be in the flight path?

Spent time at the community, did not notice a lot of planes. Daughter has not seen a problem with planes going over.

Berewick is definitely in your price range. You don't really notice the planes any more than you would in many parts of south Charlotte.

I live near Berewick and the planes aren't a big concern. It seems like most times they are using the runways parallel to 485. Occasionally they will use a flight pattern that sends planes over Berewick, but it's not a regular occurrence. I only notice it a few days each month and it is probably dependent on weather.
