Swim Team for my 7.5 year old son (Charlotte, Monroe: 2015, chapel)

Hello! We moved here from Atlanta and I am looking for a swim team for my 7.5 year old son. Our current subdivision here does not have a swim team like in Atlanta. Any suggestions?

We live in the Waxhaw/Weddington/Wesley Chapel area. Thanks!!!

If you are looking for a summer rec league, check out the Monroe Marlins. They are one of the few in the area where you don't need to be part of a subdivision or pay outrageous prices to join. Their practices start this week though. They practice at Wingate University for the month of May and then move to the outdoor pool at Rolling Hills Country Club. You can register in person at practice this week or contact them if you can't make it to the practices this week (there are many who can't make practices while they are at Wingate because of the time that the pool is available so some won't start practices until June 1st). YMCA has a swim team. I know a lot of people go to them if they don't have one in their neighborhood.

Charlotte Christian also has an open recreational swim team. SwimMac takes care of that pool now so go through their website to sign up. Practice starts next week. I think they are called Sharks. it would definitely be different from their year round competitive swim program.

You can also go here to see who is part of the greater Charlotte swim league. Many of the teams are neighborhood swim teams that you can't join, but if you do some searching, you might find some that let outsiders join. http://www.greatercharlotteswimleagu...hedule/results
