I have a Burberry coat for an infant that I would like to sell and I can't find a buyer for it. I was thinking of trying to sell it at a consignment store, but the few places I called, only buy/sell lower priced items and nothing of fancy name brands. Anyone know of a consignment store in the area that would buy/sell Burberry and/or other high priced items?

You don't neccesarily need an upscale shop to place it in but I would suggest that you gather more than one item to consign. It will make it more profitable for you and the shop owner.
Also, keep in mind that you will not get what you paid for it. Burberry or not. That is one of the "catches" to consignment. With all of that said, if interested give Tammy at Carousel Children's Consignment in Mount Holly a call. She is a lovely lady who is very fair. Her store has good and diverse traffic.

(do not have her number handy but you can google it)

Maybe you should just try to sell it on ebay or something similar.

Thanks! I will give her a call. I know I won't get what I paid for it, but I would like to at least get somewhere around 1/2 of the cost. I do have a few things I can consign and I will look into that. I think the Burberry is the most expensive of the items I have. I would try to sell it on Ebay, but I've never sold on Ebay so I am not familiar and I don't want to get scammed.

I've also tried Craigslist, but no interest from anyone yet...and I've had it up for a week or 2 already.

I will try to make it a point to call her today and let her know you will contact her. Let me know how it goes.

There's one in SE Charlotte off of 51 in the Arboretum shopping center next door to bed bath and beyond. There's another next to Plato's closet on 74 in the Windsor shopping center and another near the Carolina place mall in the mccullen creek shopping center near Burlington coat factory.

I am not familiar with these areas - do you have the names of the places by any chance?

Sorry no. I just see it out of the corner of my eye when I am the major stores around them. I do think it might be Once Upon A Child in the one near Plato's Closet on 74.

I just called her. She sounded very sweet! Unfortunately, she usually doesn't sell items over $50. She did give me the number to another place that might be able to help me. Thanks again!
