My name is Make and I am planning to move to Charlotte in May. I recently live in Tampa, but I got tired of the heat and insane humidity. Charlotte was one of the options, and I am moving with my job. TBH, I have never been there, but I heard that the city is beautiful;thus, I have a question regarding housing
1- where to live? I mainly will be working from home but I travel 50-70% of the time. That being said, I am looking for something affordable and nice area in which everything is close to me. One of the things that I hate about Tampa is being sporadic.

Is that a characteristic of ALL of Tampa, or is that just the characteristic of where you chose to live in Tampa? I ask this because MANY have moved to Charlotte in search of "affordability"; only to complain later about the crime and suburban nature of what it was they could afford.
I'll be completely honest with you. The parts of Charlotte where everything is "close together" and are "safe" will cost you at least $1,000/month for a studio or 1 bedroom. Think $1,500/month minimum for 2 bedrooms. Anything cheaper than that will either be less walkable or not as safe.

What does affordable mean to you and what is "everything" to you. For some people, "everything" is a Walmart, grocery, Michael's, Home Depot, and Khol's. For other people "Everything" includes restaurants and bars that aren't chains, coffee shops, nightlife, stores, and groceries.

I totally understand that, but overall Tampa is not my cup of tea.. The weather is extremely hot and humid
Are you looking to purchase or rent? Huntersville/Denver are both north of Charlotte(15/25 minutes) and both provide a lot of amenities (shopping, eating, parks, lake norman) and are still close to uptown and the airport.
