Are the attendants still at the men's room at the airport? I always found them irritating. I have only seen them in nightclubs. They also expect to be tipped.
I've only seen them in the baggage claim ones. Never bothered me and they seem to work hard at a job many would turn down. Doesn't mean they are perfect though - I'm curious to hear more about the OP's experience.
Maybe irritating is the wrong word. It's not that they are rude and yes a job is a job. I truly was just caught off guard seeing them at an airport. Maybe its a personal thing but just find it "odd" that someone acknowledges that I entered the restroom to pee and when I leave. Again it could be just me. In my years I have only seen them a couple of times in a club setting. Even then it was strange. Sort of like having a butler/valet that you don't really want around.

Was the facility organized? Neat? Clean? Paper products stocked?
I don’t mind most of them, just the few that get up in your face with paper towels. They help keep the bathrooms clean which is great though, tons of people use the bathrooms at CLT.
I think the issue is that most other airports manage to keep their restrooms clean without expecting us to tip someone...but CLT seems to think differently. The irritating part isn't the people themselves...it's the fact that you either need to tip someone for going the bathroom or feel bad about not tipping someone for going the bathroom. With the exorbitant costs for flights out of CLT to begin with, they shouldn't need to tack on extra hidden fees to go the bathroom.
