Hey Guys,

Thinking about renting in this area near Pavillion Blvd.

I know two major event venues are very close. PNC Music Pavilion off Pavilion Blvd and the Charlotte Motor Speedway near Morehead Rd. I personally think this area generates too much traffic but trying to let my husband understand this. He's in love with one of the neighborhoods in this area but there are only two ways to get to the main roads (N. Tryon Street and University City Blvd) one being Pavilion Blvd or cutting through some local streets to get to University City Blvd. I think this could be problematic in terms of traffic during concert events and events at the Speedway. Especially if concert goers get too inpatient and find that Pavilion Blvd is too packed and they want to try to find another route to a major intersection. The Music Pavilion ramped up during the summer months of course because its an outdoor venue.

Anybody live or work in this area that can speak to the traffic situation.

Thanks in advance for all your input.

Traffic can get pretty bad when concerts and UNCC is in session.

I am responding late to this. Hopefully, it will get some more comments. The speedway only has 2 major events per year that affect t 3-4 weekends per year. There is a fairly significant road network in the area. I don’t think the University would impact traffic too much. I amm not sure about the concert traffic.
