Didn't see a post that listed useful links for current natives or newcomers and thought I'd share what's bookmarked. If you have any suggestions to add to the list, please respond!


Stats/Maps:
GeoPortal - For schools (and magnets) your kids are zoned for, trash/recycling days, impervious land use on your property, where to vote, and neighborhood metrics such as bicycle-friendliness, education levels, and proximity to grocery store.
Capital Improvement Projects - Useful if you are curious about city funded projects happening in your neck of the woods.
North Carolina School Report Cards - If you want to know more about the school your kids are attending or will be attending.

Rain Gauge Map - Map to view rain gauges in most locations of Charlotte, as well as creek cams.
CMPD Crime Map - Violent Crime data captured by CMPD going back to 2015. Data are grouped by census blocks which the user may select and view the frequency of violent crime around their neighborhood.
