We're thinking very seriously about relocating from Ohio. We already have made contact with others in the area, friends of friens so to speak, so we have a preliminary layout of the area figured out.

We are moving with horses and want them in the backyard. Are there a lot of rural type rentals with acreage?

I've been combing Craiglist, Iwanna.com and anything else I can find online. We're very flexible on where we settle down, mostly concerned about the critters and being within a reasonable commute to CLT. We have a target date of early June.

Any info would be great!

Well, Gastonia is a city, but is the county seat for Gaston County. You want to check Gaston County & Lincoln County.

Cleveland County might be an option, depending on what acess you need to Charlotte.

Kings Mountain is on 85. You can not have livestock in the city, but some of Kings Mountain is not within the city limits.

Try Union County too, Weddington, Waxhaw and Marvin also have horse property, farms and boarding stables.
