I realize it's a rainy day and you're not supposed to fly the flag in the rain, without sufficient lighting, but if you own a flag, please remember to display it in rememberance of those who lost their lives seven years ago today.

They're not very big, but I have 2 flags on my front lawn. For those that I knew & the thousands of others that I didn't who were lost that day, may they R.I.P.

Also, keep in your prayers the MANY 1st responders who are sick & dying from their exposure to post-9/11 recovery & clean-up.

I love the sight of an American flag just as much as the next guy, but there are plenty of other things we can all do to remember 9/11, or just to be better Americans.....volunteer, give to charity, VOTE, write a letter to your local gov on an issue you feel strongly about but haven't done anything about, help out in your local community, help a complete stranger in need, turn off the TV and read, spend time with your kids or family, anything to help America be a better America. That is what anyone lost on 9/11 would want us to do, learn and build. I love America and will never forget 9/11.

Oh, and y'all can stop giving us damn yankees a hard time just for one day, aight? Thank you.

Okay - now I have cold chills.

Yes, I am flying my flag. For some reason, this year the anniversary has hit me harder than it did the past few years. Maybe b/c it is an election year.

God bless all those who have suffered in any way b/c of the tragedy that occurred on this date 7 years ago.

This is NOT something that only affected us Northerners!
The terrible events of that day impacted the ENTIRE country.
I hope that's not what you meant?

no, not even close to what I meant. I'm well aware of who was impacted by the event.
