I found a listing in area 3 thats a nice cape cod, the style dh likes, other that its on slab foundation.... he hates that... he likes crawl space, other than that, price and space, rooms, everything else seems good. I just dont know if the area is good. MLS 656407. Does anyone know what schools go with this house? Not listed with the listing that I pulled.

Area 3/1 closer is closer to Uptown, 3/5 to Mint Hill. Some areas are transitional; it depends on the individual property location.

This house is in Mint Hill. Schools would most likely be Lebanon Rd Elementary, Northeast Middle and Independence High. You could do worse

Does this seem to be a good area? Mint Hill? its part of Charlotte? I am so new to all of this. I did a search and it seemed like the property tax was high , like you had to pay this much to this part, and that much to that part. I don't understand.

Mint Hill is a great little town with its own police department, mayor, town council, ect. Taxes are cheaper than in Charlotte, but not by much anymore. The neighborhood where this house is located is near the border with Charlotte, off of Lawyers Road - good commute time to uptown if you need that. There were some problems in there a while back though, so I can't wholeheartedly recommend Morris Farms. To many homes have become rentals and so the neighborhood no longer shows that pride of ownership others do. I would suggest though that you definitely check it out for yourself, as this is a really cute house
