Hello everyone, any advice or feedback would be great. I am graduating college with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. B.S. I want to relocate to Charlotte, NC. My wife is a teacher and wanted to get a job in Charlotte and I am wondering how easy or hard it will be for me to get a accounting job fresh out of college. I also have two young children. We figured this would be a great start for our family. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That is a high demand job here around Charlotte. My wife works for an accounting firm and they just hired several people (as they do every year) fresh out of college. Start sending out resumes ASAP. She may want to wait to apply so she does not get lost in the numbers applying without jobs open, but she does need to attend the job fairs out here. If she can't, researching schools and systems and contacting principals with resumes might not be a bad idea. Good Luck!

I would definitely send your resume out ASAP. There are a bunch of CPA firms in and around the city. I used careerbuilder, recruiters and believe it or not craigslist. I would even try to find the names of accounting firms online and contact them directly. Good Luck!
