You can even take the light rail in, I think if I go this year that's what I'll do. You'll walk away with a couple bags of free goodies. It's fun.

I'm not a NASCAR fan but went to my first race last year at Bristol . I found it to be a great party although I was in a suite and partied in about 4-5 other suites along with watching some of race in Fox Sports suite with the color analysts. Fans were very friendy and all having a great time. I did step outside for a couple minutes to hear the engine noise which was impressive. I look forward to going to Bristol next year and talk my wife into going so she can enjoy party suites w/me. Good time.

Last night on the news they said the $135 tickets were sold out. We bought tickets at the last minute for the 600 and we wound up on the cement benches 8 rows from the track. They were hard! We even bought seat cushions! You will be dirty to say the least. As the cars came around on the first pace lap, I took my sunglasses off and here they come. I think I actually got a rubber marble in my eye! My black Racegirl t-shirt was covered in road dirt and DH's white t-shirt, well it wasn't white anymore. Let me just say once the race started it took about 8-10 laps before the dust cleared. This is the longest race of the season and I was ready for a shower after 10 laps! Those were the chicken bone seats although nothing hit me in the head and I didn't actually see a chicken bone.

Make sure you sit high enough to see the whole track and in an actual seat.

Suites are the best!

Last year I went to the Nationwide Race as my co-worker couldn't go to the 600. But our former co-worker worked for Ganassi and gave us the royal treatment. She picked us up in the golf cart, went to the hospitality tent for lunch, cruised around the pits, attended the drivers meeting, got to stand in the pit for the national anthem and got to stand in the pit stall to watch a pit. It was AWESOME!

My nephew also works for Hendrick and his wife for Wood Brothers so we got the private shop tours. My niece even let us climb into one of the cars, that is a tight squeeze to say the least. Gave us a whole new perspective on what a drivers view is.

speed street is alot of fun..

Like Nancy said, you will go away will a ton of free goodies and samples.
Many of the drivers make appearances there, they have a tire changing contest (which is a hoot to watch) some good concerts and the people watching is great those days. LOL!

Thanks for the info... sounds like something to check out.

Nancy, i have to disagree about speedstree freebies...walk a way with a couple bags of stuff you say?
I went with the wife and kids and felt like a pack mule...easily had 12 bags full of stuff and i had to carry it all, from free t-shirts, to chewing tobacco (i dont even dip) to energy drinks, posters, my daughter got a BOX of gum...it was CRAZY.....
