measure the depth of the area where you will place your refrigerator!! We dropped the ball on this one. The model home has a nice french doors, freezer on the bottom 'frig. We had been shopping for something similar and just realized the area in our home measures 29.5" in depth. The model home measures 36". So now we are trying to find something that will fit. We have an entry way into the dining room right beside the 'frig area so anything bigger will encroach on that opening. Oh well, live and learn I guess...

I am still very grateful to have had such a good building experience though. After reading about other people's experiences on CD I was expecting to have to go to war with the supervisor, instead I might have him over for dinner. This is the biggest problem thus far. I know they tell your home will vary from the model home but 6" seems like a whole lot of variance!! If anyone can find a GE, freezer on the bottom, stainless steel, french doors, Energy Star, with water/ice dispenser in the door refrigerator that fits into aprox 72 H x 41 W x 30 D, send me the link!!

Thanks for trying John! We are looking for the freezer on the bottom with 2 doors on top for the refrigerator area only. It is good pretty good website though. I should be able to use it to find something close to what we want. Thanks again!

These are probably as close to what you're looking for that GE is currently producing. You might find another brand that will be a little closer to the exact size you specified. The 41" width strikes me as an odd size/dimension. Most Refrigerators come as 30, 33, 36, 42, and, for the family of 20 sizing..., 48". Seems the kitchen designer could have helped a bit here. Anyway, I'd suggest looking into Kitchenaid and/or Samsung, but I haven't looked up the spec's on these manufacturers yet.

Hope this helps.

It's called a counter depth refrigerator. Unfortunately for any size you are going to have to shop the premium brands for any kind of real selection as the consumer brands don't have much in this area. Sub Zero, Miele, DCS, Dacor are a few of the brands. Most of these will be about 27" - 28" depth which will work out perfectly for your 29" counter given the clearance you will need behind it.

Unfortunately these are going to be in the high end of the market, but once you have one, it will last forever and they do look good.

GE models:
PFCS1NFYSS - 69 5/8 H x 35 3/4 W x 31 D
PFCS1PJYSS - 69 5/8 H x 35 3/4 W x 31 3/8 D - water through the door
CFCP1NIYSS - 69 5/8 H x 35 7/8 W x 31 D

Finding ice through the door on a bottom freezer style will be a tricky prospect.
We have the same fridge with the cabinet matching front and have been happy with it thus far.
