Hello,
We just moved to the area and wondered if anyone could recommend a pediatrician in our area? We're in Ballantyne area, zip 28277.

Any help would be appreciated...

Thanks
Mark

We use them as well and we love them too! In fact, the other day, I was a bit concerned that our newborn was running a fever but not wholly certain we were getting an accurate reading. They told me that'd be more than happy to take his temp too to see, so I went by and the nurse immediately re-checked him without me having to even sign in - she met me at the desk. It's that kind of personal care we've seen with them.

We also use Providence Pediatrics -- for past 11 years, Dr. Smolen. Love them!

Providence Pediatrics is where we go and have been very pleased. They do "tours" once a week, I think, so you can meet some of the Dr's and get a tour of the offices and listen to how they operate. It's worth a phone call to see when they offer them to make sure you're 100% comfortable.

You're right. That's actually what sold us on them. The tour is a great concept.

Very personable. We see Dr. Valder, simply because he was the one that did the newborn check and we liked him, so we stuck with him. We saw another doctor on another occasion. Every time they are patient and will take as much time as you need for the visit. Dr. Valder has a great way at putting you at ease, especially when a child is your first.

Another vote for Providence Pediatrics. We have used Dr. Downing for our 3 1/2 year old's entire life, and could not be more pleased with the care she has given our daughter. First of all, she has a wonderful way with her, and our daughter absolutely loves her.

Also, something that is VERY important to us is that Dr. Downing is extremely patient about answering any question we might have. No matter how busy she is, we never leave her office with a question unanswered. She never makes us feel like our question is stupid, or that we are keeping her from being someplace else...even when we know she is slammed and probably doesn't have time to answer a million questions, she takes the time to make sure we understand what we need (or want) to know.

And most importantly, she is a very competent doctor. I cannot give her any greater compliment than to say that she has our complete trust in the care of our daughter. There is nothing more precious in the world to us, so we do not give our trust easily.
