I either am posting my query incorrectly or not understanding the responses. Let's start over. Suppose I have a block and lot number ONLY and DO NOT have a parcel #....how do I find the address of the house from what I have?
It very well could be my fault but w/o the parcel # I have not been able to do what the posters suggest.
John - If I understand you correctly you only have the lot and block number - not the street name? If so - it's going to be almost impossible because there are likely thousands of (lot 15, block 2, etc.) legal descriptions in Mecklenburg County.
If you have the street name you can look it up in GIS but you will have to check most of the addresses individually to get the lot and block number.

Don't think this can be true. I just looked at (4) title insurances I have and the property is referenced by block and lot number.
LOL, this is what started this whole mess. I was looking to place the street address of the house on the title before I filed it and wanted to BE Sure I was noting it properly.
Back to square one, I guess.
P.S. I can tell based on the $amt. of the insurance which house it is BUT I could make a mistake by shooting from the hip.

Try going to your search engine- type in the name of the county and state, then GIS online. For example, Mecklenburg County, NC GIS online.
