I heard all the rumors and speculation.

Did or is GMAC move/moving here?

They have a 200 person call center operation in Ballentyne. After NC gave them a taxpayer handout they have agreed to bring another 200 jobs over the next 5 years. This assumes of course they last that long. This is a broken company that is 100% dependent upon the Taxpayers handing them TARP money.

For clarification, they’re hiring 130 people by the end of this year and will add at least 200 by the end of 2010. And the new jobs are not "call center" jobs.

I have him on ignore so I don't see 95% of his posts. The other 5% I look at for giggles and laughs. Sometimes I will even respond. I don't have a problem with telling it like it is and that tends to rub some Charlotteans the wrong way which why I assume I am singled out for the treatment. Anyone who quotes the Observer and BJ as the definitive word about Charlotte probably should put me on ignore as well.

Well don't include me in this as I don't get involved in wars. He is the other person on this site I have on ignore for this very reason. I simply came to this topic to answer the OPs question and then see the kind of stuff that follows.
