This sounds like fun. It’s a shame the US National Whitewater Center didn’t think of doing something like this. They could have used the extra income.

Hubby and I are planning to go check it out as soon as it opens, lol!!! No, don't think we will be tubing down a slope, but it certainly would be a festive outing. Thought I might get some neat seasonal type photos. I think it will be great fun and a super revenue maker, as well - and a great draw for SouthPark.
Looks like a blast!! Too bad it is so expensive. $30 for a 2 hour session times 5 in our family makes it and unaffordable outing. $150 is way too much money to spend for 2 hours in the snow.

The two hours is a problem IMO too. Stone Mountain in Atlanta does the same thing. My guess is they got this idea from them. At Stone Mountain the price is $25.00 and only the snow tubing is limited to two hours. You can stay and play in the snow all day. I think the location at South Park is causing them to have that time restriction. That Observer article said they have to limit the number of people to 200 at a time. I think that location may prove to be a challenge for them because it’s going to be so crowded in that area with the mall there too.
Ohhhh . . . I failed to catch the 200 limit. Sounds to me like lots of long lines.
Also, they ought to do a family pass - a flat fee for adults plus 2 or more kids (w/ ID). They could have a pass that is good for multiple visits, too. Maybe they will figure that out.
