Just finished reading this book, centered around mill strikes in 1929 in Gastonia and surrounding towns. It’s a novel, historical fiction, but a good read about events that I knew nothing about. Just thought that I’d share in case anyone else was interested.

I listened to this as an audiobook, and really enjoyed it! I hope someone will make a movie of it. I would also love to see a documentary about the time that shows recordings of Ella May Wiggins singing or the labor movement's struggle for better wages and conditions.
