Good-bye Charlotte! After 36 rich, fun, friend-filled years, we are leaving, heading for Durham where we'll be near our son. Life is too short to be distant from loved ones. Hello Durham!

Best of luck Barb!! Did you get your home sold?

I know you hate to go, but won't it be so nice to be near your son on a daily basis?

Yes, Loves, we were one of the lucky ones who were able to sell within two weeks. We close tomorrow.

WOO HOO! Well, you were in a great close in location

Bet that's a weight off your mind - and it happened so quickly!

Barb - so glad you sold your home - and want to send best wishes for you all to get settled in Durham and enjoy establishing a new life there near your son. I know I will want to be near my son in coming years, so if he is not around Charlotte (and I don't anticipate he will be) - I will be doing what you are doing at some point.

I hope whomever bought your home will appreciate all the love that you put into your gardens. I know they got an added bonus b/c of all your dedication to creating beautiful landscapes.

God bless you and hubby as you start a new life in Durham!

Best wishes, Barb. We moved here to Charlotte last year to be near our son. I hope he never leaves because we love it. I hope you'll love your new home and new city as much as we all love Charlotte.

Thanks for your good wishes. I know that we'll enjoy Durham after we recover from the trauma of leaving our friends, house and garden.
