Does anyone know much about the Glenmore area in C'ville. Looked like a nice area similar to what we would be leaving to come to C'ville. Just hoping to get the local scoop.

It's a very, very nice area, but I prefer the western side of Albemarle County to the eastern side at the price point, bc the mountains are more scenic.

Isn't Glenmore a subdivision? It has a website.

I prefer the mountain views, but you can get them on the eastside of Albemarle County too. I live in Louisa County which is farther east. There are a few places in Louisa County, where one can have a lovely mountain view.

Glenmore is a private gated community, with its own golf course and other amenities for which owners pay for. This subdivision consists of larger homes, within a higher price range for the area (500K and up). It is a part of Keswick, zip 22947, ca 10 mi east of Charlottesville, about 20 min commute from the city. Peaceful, I think. There are smaller homes in Keswick too, many with nice acreage. (Prices start bellow 200K for a home of 1300s sqf). For entertainment other than pretty landscape, you will have to get closer/into the city. Hope this info is what you were looking for.
If not, let me know. My best, Tanja
