Hi All!

We are coming from Raleigh to spend a week in your fine city and environs, arriving this Sunday (after an overnight stop in Boone). We will be tackling a ton of activities downtown, all around, and looking around Signal Mountain for lots for sale if we get hooked in our travels.

Please take just a moment and list here your #1 picks for the following restaurants:

Dad is looking for the juiciest, nicest STEAK in the area.

Wife and kids get treated to the #1 FAMILY restaurant. That leans anywhere from pizza to ribs. What places, if any, have the populace DROOLING??

Many thanks in advance for your speedy responses. We shove off tomorrow (Saturday) at 8 a.m. Bless you!

Porter's Steakhouse
Mellow Mushroom (although LW & I agree we haven't actually found the best family joint in town yet - or least we haven't visited it yet)

You two rock, seriously. We ate at a Sticky Fingers in Wilmington, NC about 5 years ago and loved it. Porter's looks decadent. Thank you both for the helpful tips!

LOVE Lupi's near the Aquarium for local family friendly. Excellent pizza, calzones, lasagna. Great salads. Fun atmosphere. Always packed. Lupi's Pizza | Home

I'd vote for St. John's Meeting Place Angus Beef Steak. Very nice, locally owned & amazing food! St. John's Meeting Place - Menu (http://www.stjohnsrestaurant.com/menu_mp.php - broken link)
