I am living in Nashville, a little bit more than two hours' drive from Chattanooga.

I decide to drive to Chattanooga next week, and explore that city either using one day or two days.

Any suggestion on attractions --The Aquarium will be a must--for such a short trip? Any good restaurant? Any authentic Chinese restaurant?

Also during the two-hour drive, is there any nice place I should stop and take a break? Believe it or it, 2-hour drive is a long drive to me.

Thanks.

I would say Rock City but with no leaves and everything being brown, I don't know how pretty it will be. Definitely see the Aquarium. I don't know about Chinese restaurants. Actually, I haven't been blown away by any Chattanooga restaurant yet, but I have by no means tried them all. Hmmm, Ruby Falls, maybe? Again, it's not quite spring yet so outside stuff might be bland. My brain is freezing up on me. Maybe someone else can offer up some ideas.

Authentic Chinese? As in we never heard of honey garlic and General Tso's chicken? Or are you just looking for some good ChInese food? If the latter, check out Formosa out in Hixson on Hwy 153

A must stop for me on I-24 is the Nickajack Lake rest stop right before you cross the Tennessee river. If the weather is nice, it is a great stop to pull over (with your own food) and have alittle picnic before you reach the Scenic City!
