My family and I will be moving to illinois in jan. and I am a little concerned because my family "make up" I guess you would say is touchy for some. I have a significant other that is a female and we have 2 teenage daughters that are half black, so as you can see being lesbians with bi racial children poses an issue for some. My question is this, if our place of employment is set in Collinsville, IL where would be a nice, diverse place for my family and I to settle into.

Take a look at the O'Fallon, IL area--although Collinsville will be fine albeit small. O'Fallon/Fairview Heights offer great schools...and lots of colors, sizes, and shapes. I personally know of mixed/diverse couples in the local area--no issues. Good luck...and WELCOME.
