Midway stretches from 55th St to 63rd St and Cicero Ave to Central Ave. It is in the city of Chicago.

I just flew out of Midway last week for the first time in about 10 years and will say it was a very pleasant experience compared to O'Hare. Much less crowded, easy to navigate and much shorter lines. The cab fare for me to get to Midway is only $5 more than to O'Hare so I'll be using Midway again when I can.

Midway is much nicer than it was a decade ago. smaller than Ohare, so also easier to get around [including in and out] it is considered south side of chicago, where Ohare is just west or even northwest of downtown.

even though i live closer to Ohare... i always fly out of midway.

About 2 miles south of I55 (Stevenson Expressway) on Cicero Ave (IL RT50) in Chicago. Getting there is much easier than O'hare. Parking is cheaper for both short and long term lots with free shuttle service to terminal from long term lots. The ell also stops there. Sorry I don't know which train, I've never used it. The only downside is the limited destinations and flights from there. Largest carrier is S.O.U.T.H.W.E.S.T. Check their website for destinations as their discount fares don't make them popular with travel agents an most online booking services.

If you happen to be going to Greensboro NC you might want to check Gary Indiana's airport. They now have two flights a day to Greensboro. Right now they are the only commercial flights from Gary.
