I bought some stuff from there, and it was good to visit the store every month to get the free Computer Power User magazine... But now MicroCenter give that magazine away. I once thought about working there PT, but the Filipino sale guy there bragged he was making over $60,000 / year there. I didn't believe him. There was good stuff at that store. I got two monitors, usb hardware, a gaming headphone, usb sticks, and it was a place to hit on Black Friday Sales. I was thinking about getting our future 4K HDTV from there.

But now it's closed. First sign something was wrong was that the location store didn't poipup in TigerDirect's website. Then I drove there and it was gone. If I had to buy a store laptop I would have bought it from there, but now no more. Wasn't this TigerDirect's only in city store? Makes me wonder why they closed it!

I always liked Tiger Direct's magazine. There website and stores were less attractive. Microcenter is larger and has an lot of varity of stuff. Best buy more expensive but often more conveint(due to so many around). Tiger direct never impressed me with any of it's city or suburban locations.

I've been there once to buy a paper shredder. Maybe it was a slow day, but there were practically no other customers. It seemed like staff outnumbered them 10:1. At least checkout was fast. But B&M tech stores have been going the way of the dodo for a while now.

Micro center is easier to get to. You can zip onto Logan blvd and hit western bypassing that godforsaken damen Fullerton Easton nightmare. Elston is by far the worst.

Sometimes it's better to buy stuff in store if they match online prices, so that beats amazon when you get defective stuff, like hard drives which can be DOA.

That and sometimes with shipping and possible sales tax, online isn't much cheaper than in store.

Neither do I. Otherwise the guy I knew who quit there to work elsewhere making $9/hr wouldn't have quit there in the first place.

That should be "unemployed crossdressing ex-felon layabout".
