A few friends and I are coming to Chicago sometime in the next few months but here's the thing- our bus arrives at 5:30 IN THE MORNING. I've been to Chicago a few times, but never this early! Is there anything to do that early? We just need a few hours to pass the time; any suggestions?

Try the White Palace at Roosevelt and Canal. Or, at 6 try Holiday's at Randolph and Halsted. Two nice all night egg splatterers. Plus, they're safe because they are known to be "cop joints", ie police hangouts. The White Palace also happens to be a hangout for professional athletes so you may be able to gawk at a few.
